etymology: aureopinnata: aureus = yellow, golden, pinnatus = pinnate, because of the yellowish-brown drying, pinnate leaf blades
Reproduction: Division
Origin: Ecuador, Peru, Brazil
Location: very widespread in the eastern and Pacific Andes in the warm, humid tropical forest at altitudes of up to 100-1500m.
Remarks: The leaves of Monstera aureopinnata are closed when young, and only as they get older do the leaves slowly begin to split. In Monstera aureopinnata, this splitting takes place very slowly, and the process can be observed beautifully when caring for the plants.
