Remarks:
For many years, this species was confused with Dracula olmosii, which occurs in the same area. Visually, both species are very easy to distinguish when in bloom. But it was only after Alfonso Doucette visited the Finca Dracula (Panama) that Dracula agnosia was discovered. He was the first to recognize that these were two different species and was then able to describe this species as Dracula agnosia.
