Remarks:
Ceratostema pendens was discovered by James Luteyn and HH Mogollón on November 18, 1998 in Limon, Ecuador during a collecting trip along a native trail. The description by Luteyn was published in 2005.
This Ceratostema has a clearly pronounced caudex, which also indicates that this species does not like wet feet.
