Location: Anthuiurm nigrolaminum is distributed in southern Colombia (Putumayo), eastern Ecuador and northeastern Peru in the habitat zones of tropical moist forest and tropical wet forest at altitudes of 160-1250 m.
Remarks: Anthurium nigrolaminum grows under a wide range of environmental and edaphic conditions, sometimes in full sun, sometimes in full shade, on sandy or red-loamy soils. It occurs in a wide range of habitats, from hilly terrain to high forests, on wasteland and disturbed areas, along flood plains on the edge of streams and rivers. The leaves are covered with a strong cuticle (waxy layer) and have a leathery texture.
