Remarks:
The Cordillera de Cutucu is located in southeastern Ecuador. It is a mountain range that is slightly separated from the Andes and overlooks the Amazon basin. It is inhabited by the Schwara Indians. This area is only accessible on foot and on horseback. Aroids, ferns, orchids, bromeliads and other epiphytes grow in the dense rain and cloud forest. Although the area is very inaccessible, Anthurium cutucuense is described as highly endangered.
