Remarks:
Phragmipedium humboldtii is/was often confused with Phragm. warscewiczianum.
The petal length can be over 50cm, when the petals develop, please do not touch the tip, the petals will then stop growing.
This species often grows on slopes, the petals grow very long until they touch the ground and the insects can climb up them and pollinate the flower.
