Remarks:
One of the oldest hybrids with Phragmipedium besseae. The desire for bright red (like Phragmipedium besseae) lady's slippers was not (yet) fulfilled, but the shape and size of the flowers were a clear improvement. Due to its vigor and willingness to bloom, this hybrid is still very popular today and is an "evergreen".
