etymology: micranthus = tiny-flowered
Reproduction: Division
Origin: Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Peru
Location: In the upper Amazon Basin, hemiepiphytic, climbing up trees, in the very warm, humid tropical rainforest at altitudes of 100-300m.
Remarks: The leaves of Philodendron micranthum are three-lobed, the individual lobes are up to 10cm narrow and up to 45cm long. With the stems up to 45-50cm long, this species appears very airy and visually appealing despite its size.
