Location: Philodendron lupinum is a climbing hemiepiphyte and was found in a small fragment of the "Terra Firme" forest in the Amazon region at Cruzeiro do Sul, Arredores de Lagoinha, Ramal Santa Luzia, Igarapé Zacarias para Cobrinha on August 24, 2001 at 214m.
Remarks: This rarely seen, compact growing Philodendron lupinum is very special because it changes the shape and color of its leaves as it ages. While the leaves of the young plant are still small and heart-shaped and have a velvety texture and a chestnut-colored underside, older plants show Plants have a more elongated shape and texture and the underside of the leaves changes to normal green.
