etymology:
wallisii = Gustav Wallis (* 1 May 1830 in Lüneburg - † 20 July 1878 in Cuenca, Ecuador) was a German botanist.

Location:
epiphytic on wet, mossy trees in the cloud forest in the Central Cordillera, at altitudes of 1600 to 2800 meters.
Remarks:
Dracula wallisii is impressive due to its dense hairiness. The inflorescences are slightly hanging, horizontal and upright, the terminal flowers are up to 25cm in size, arise terminally and can bloom 2-3 times in succession.
