Product information "Pims Eifel II"
Pumiceorpumice
is a porous, lightweight volcanic rock.
Due to its low density, dry pumice with its numerous pores can float on water. Pumice can form from all types of magma and therefore develops from basalt as well as other rocks. Depending on its composition, pumice can appear white and light yellow, as well as grey, brown or almost black. However, the chemical composition of the different types of pumice is usually the same. Pumice is formed by explosive volcanic eruptions. The high gas content causes pronounced bubble formation. These gas bubbles cause the viscous rock mass to foam up. When it cools, the sponge-like, porous, water- and air-retaining structure is retained.
Components(Selection):
Silicastrengthens the walls of plant cells and increases resistance to pathogens.
potassiumstrengthens the water pressure and ensures stable flower stalks.
magnesiumis necessary for the formation of chlorophyll and is reflected in beautiful, green leaves.
manganeseis responsible for the construction of many enzymes.
calciumstrengthens the conduction pathways and promotes flowering duration and stability.
calciumbuilds a strong root system and prevents many typical root diseases.
pumiceensures better ventilation, hardly decomposes, and retains water for a very long time.
