pinkleyi = Homer V. Pinkley (1938-?), American biologist who, among other things, researched hallucinogenic effects of South American plants.
Reproduction: Division
Origin: Ecuador
Location: Terrestrial on the eastern slopes of the Amazon at altitudes of around 300m near Limoncocha in northern Ecuador in partially shaded areas.
Remarks: The type plant was originally found by Michael T. Madison on May 20, 1991, the description by Monica Carlsen and Tom Croat was published on December 20, 2004. Anturium pinkleyi impresses with its three-lobed leaves on long, upright stems that move like small birds in the wind.
