etymology: lentii = Philodendron lentii is named in honor of Roy Lent (1931-2012, front left), who first collected the species in 1967. Lent, who lives in Costa Rica, has been a major collector for many years and has collected many new species of Araceae.

Origin: Central America
Location: Philodendron lentii grows hemiepiphytically in tropical warm-humid rainforest on trunks at altitudes of around 1700m.
