Remarks:
Philodendron joepii hort. is not a botanically valid name, as there is no official description yet. The name is therefore not certain and should more correctly be abbreviated to hort. (hort. = horticultural term). It is also possible that it is a natural hybrid, which explains the rarity of the plant. According to Joep Moonen, it could be a hybrid of Philodendron bipennifolium and Philodendron pedatum, as both species grew in the immediate vicinity of the site where it was found. The shape of the leaves and the flower also reminded him strongly of Philodendron pedatum.
