etymology:
radiosus = radial (because of the lip pattern)

Origin: Ecuador, Colombia
Location:
epiphytic on mossy trunks in the Andes in the districts of Antioquia, Risaralda and Cauca, Colombia and in northwestern Ecuador in the cloud forest at altitudes of 1600 to 2100 m.
Remarks:
The flowers of Dracula radiosa are about 5 x 15cm in size, the inflorescences are upright and horizontal, rarely hanging. The inflorescence stalks are up to 20cm long and bear a terminal flower.
