Remarks:
Bulbophyllum maxillare, Bulbophyllum blumei and Bulbophyllum masdevalliaceum are considered by most authors to be separate species, but Verm, O'Byrne and Lamb have combined them all to form Bulbophylum maxillare. The plant material available to us from Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia confirms this classification. We have not yet been able to obtain a plant of this species from Australia.
