The images are examples. This natural product is very variable in appearance. This very rare wood is a stable base with a long lifespan and is very suitable for tying up medium-sized orchids. This means that not only the plant, but also the base is a real eye-catcher. You are welcome to choose the piece you want from our local nursery.

  • Zedra tree (bot.:Melia Azedarach) is also called Indian cedar tree, Persian lilac, Chinese elder or paternoster tree.
  • Very vigorous and adaptable, it comes from Southeast Asia, but can now also be found in Australia, the Mediterranean and America. Even though it is a tropical tree, adult plants are hardy to minus 18°C.
  • The symbiosis with the fungus that causes these rosettes to form only occurs on the island of Bali, and the cedar tree is now rarely found there.
  • The wood is light but very robust
