Origin: Peru
Location: Anthurium timplowmanii is endemic to Peru and was found growing epi- and lithophytically in the department of Huanuco, province of Leoncio Prado, in the warm, humid foothill forest at an altitude of 650 to 900 m.
Remarks: Anthurium timplowmanii is one of the small Anthuriums, the leaf size of a fully grown plant is given as about 30cm in length. With the beautiful parallel veined stripes on the leaves, this species is very reminiscent of a mini form of Anthurium veitchii, except that the leaves of Anthurium plowmanii are very hard and very shiny, and noticeably darker green.
